Since we just bought a house, I couldn't really splurge on Dave's present this year. I took him out to Rodizio Grill for lunch and then the boys and I made him a lemon cake with chocolate frosting in the evening. The boys got him some new pens for his work and some Hostess cupcakes, wrapped in paper that they had painted. My parents also celebrated his birthday and got him a birthday pumpkin pie and some money to go towards that lawn mower we'll be needing in a couple of months. My sister and her husband gave him a gift card to Amazon.com and Dave's parents sent him a really neat stove for camping and for emergency use. He was really excited about it when it showed up on the doorstep.
