Miles' Baby Blessing

This past Sunday was Miles' baby blessing at church. Dave did a wonderful job and gave him such a beautiful blessing. I was able to take notes with one hand while I kept pushing Jett back into the pew with the other. It worked out. The following are the specific blessings that were given:

• His body will grow as it should.
• He will be calm.
• He will be a light to his family.
• He will be a happy child.
• His countenance will bring light to others.
• He will be fortified in health and spirit.
• He'll receive guidance by his parents and family to know what is right.
• He will have strength to always choose what is right.
• He will look to the Prophets and use their teachings in his life.
• He will have strength to say no to the temptations of the devil.
• He will have a beautiful life.
• He will grow up in the Lord and be a soldier in His army.
• He will be a strong pillar.
• He will bless nations of the world with his knowledge of the Gospel and his good heart.

After Sacrament meeting, we had everyone come to our house for food and to celebrate Dave's Mom's birthday and my Dad's birthday, both of which were on the 2nd. Dave's parents, my parents, my sister Abby and her husband Casey, and Dave's sister Mary and her two kids were able to attend. Dave's brother Dan and his wife Sofia had planned on attending but were instead blessed with the birth of their new baby girl, Christine Elizabeth. We were so excited to hear of her birth! Miles' new cousin and he are exactly 6 weeks apart! It's going to be fun having them grow up so close to each other.
