On Mothers Day, I awoke to the smell of bacon and voices hushing each other as they discussed their plan to bring me breakfast in bed. Cruise and Jett talked about how surprised I would be when they woke me up, so of course I had to close my eyes and pretend I was still sleeping. They came upstairs and quietly woke me up to their presentation of pancakes, bacon, blueberries with whipped cream, a banana, and orange juice. It was delicious!
Then just as I got out of the shower that morning, the boys came bursting in telling me to open my gifts. Cruise had actually made me a gift and card at school that he presented to me at the Ultimate Show and Tell that I just LOVE! So cute!
Dave gave me a box of truffles and a chocolate caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and a very sweet card. Cruise gave me a homemade hologram (the cup with the plastic spoon in it) and Jett gave me a Hershey bar that was already consumed by the two of them before this picture was taken. They also gave me a really cute card that they dictated to Dave.
A few days later, Jett gave me a sand dollar ring from school that he said was also my Mother's Day present. I have such sweet kids.
I had asked for a nap and chocolate for Mother's Day, but because Dave let me sleep in so late, I didn't even need a nap! So I asked him if I could use it another day. ;-)
